INFICON Receives $1.65M Order From U.S. Department of Defense

SYRACUSE, New York - October 6, 2008: INFICON (SIX) Swiss Exchange: IFCN), a global leader in advanced technologies for emergency response and security, and for the refrigeration/air conditioning, semiconductor, solar, vacuum coating, and other industries, has received a $1.65 million order to extend its "hot swap" program of the HAPSITE Chemical Identification System for select military branches of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

INFICON's "hot swap" program ensures operational readiness for the DoD's fleet of HAPSITE systems and accessories used for security and emergency response worldwide. HAPSITE is deployed for fast, on-site detection and analysis of chemical warfare agents and toxic materials in the field.
