Job Description

  • Application of INFICON devices with mass spectrometers and similar sensors 
  • Application support for development projects and validation of prototypes
  • Analysis of physical effects of density measurements 
  • Development and implementation of special measurement sequences for beta and competitor devices
  • Development and testing of new applications for existing products 
  • Reconstructing customer measurements and writing reports in German and English
  • Worldwide support for in-depth questions and supervision of selected customer projects
  • Creation of application notes for the worldwide INFICON organization
  • Conducting training sessions based on self-created or existing presentation documents, predominantly in English
  • Documentation of results and expansion of the INFICON knowledge database
  • Deriving market trends in collaboration with product management

Qualifications

  • Completed Master's degree in natural sciences (physics, chemistry, or comparable) 
  • Good knowledge of vacuum technology
  • Knowledge of mass spectrometry and programming, e.g. Python/LabVIEW is an advantage
  • Experience in the semi-industrial or battery sector is helpful
  • Initiative and willingness to learn, transparent and open communication
  • Enjoying communicating complex issues in a simple way to people from a wide range of backgrounds
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)
