Job Description

Position Overview

  • Within the EMEA Applications Engineer Team, you are the primary interface between the client and INFICON, and must reflect our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • You are responsible for maintaining an excellent client relationship, and for resolving/escalating any problems/concerns encountered.
  • You will work closely with other members of the Applications engineering team (EMEA, US, Asia).
  • You will have frequent communication with Program Manager and Key Account Manager for your sites.
  • You will work closely with the software development team including providing feedback on applications, communicating new feature requests, performing QA for new versions, and managing deployments.
  • Travel may be required on average of 30%-50% but will vary based on projects’ status.
  • Your focus will mainly be the installation of FabGuard sensor controllers and FabGuard setup, including troubleshooting of those.

Responsibilities

  • Represent INFICON to your clients both on site and on remote calls.
  • Deploy and support INFICON's FabGuard Software.
  • Create advanced data collection and analysis of tool-based Sensors, INFICON Sensors, and third-party Sensors for the purposes of Fault Detection and Classification using FabGuard.
  • Provide written and oral feedback to the customer on applications work including process troubleshooting, data integration, and advanced analysis techniques.
  • Provide written and oral feedback to onsite Program Manager on weekly activities, customer requests, needs and requirements.
  • You will train end users, support client change management needs, test client requested application changes, and meet project budget and timeline.
  • Be able to support regional sales by providing technical demonstrations and presenting product offerings in technical presentations.

Qualifications

  • Good human being, Team mindset.
  • English (professional minimum) + one among French, German, Italian is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Semiconductor Processes and OEM tools including Lithography, PVD, CVD, ALD, Etch and CMP.
  • Solid understanding of PC network and network troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of SECS/GEM is required
  • Experience and understanding of Fault Detection and Classification (FDC), Statistical Process Control, Computer Networking, and Factory Automation in fabs is required.
  • Experience with Tool Maintenance, Run-to-Run Control, and Industrial Engineering in fabs is preferred.
  • Self-starter with strong self-management.
  • Requires strong Analytical Skills and Critical Thinking to Solve Complex Problems.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at the same time.
  • 3+ years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Bachelor/Master of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related
