Job Description

Job Overview:

InstruTech is a Longmont, CO based company specializing in designing and manufacturing vacuum measurement and control instrumentation. We are part of the INFICON group, a Switzerland based worldwide leader in products for gas analysis, measurement, and control. We are hiring an experienced Coating Technician responsible for operating and monitoring the machines and process of coating parts for the semi-conductor industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operation of coating machinery in a cleanroom environment.
  • Inspection and measurement of substrates before and after coating to ensure quality.
  • Photographic documentation of parts prior to and after coating.
  • Data entry into various computer programs.
  • Prepares parts for coating.
  • Packages finished product.
  • Loads parts into fixtures / loads fixtures into coating machines.
  • Follow process instruction sheets to the letter.
  • May begin training on generation of process instructions.
  • Performs periodic maintenance on machines and fixtures/tooling.
  • Occasional hazardous chemical handling.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • Previous work experience in a clean room manufacturing environment desired.

Requirements:

  • High attention to detail.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy parts into fixtures as part of a team.
  • Strong manufacturing background.
  • Comfortable working in a clean room environment.
  • Standing up to 8-10 hours a day.
  • Comfortable working by yourself/themselves in a clean room environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude to conduct maintenance on the equipment.
  • Computer savvy. Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as the ability to learn proprietary programs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Know how to follow proper clean room practices and protocols.
  • Must be punctual and willing to work occasional overtime as needed.

Additional Information

Salary: $22-$25/hr depending on experience.

Job Type: Full-time (40 hrs/week)
