INFICON InstruTech is a Longmont, CO based company specializing in designing and manufacturing vacuum measurement and control instrumentation. The Electronics Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical vacuum measurement instrumentation including printed circuit board assemblies and vacuum gauge transducers. Receive products returned for repair (RMA) and document customer rejection/complaints in RMA database.
Maintain detailed paperwork/traceability records for each product returned, including the proper storage of these records.
Diagnostic analysis, troubleshooting, repair and diagnostic report for products sent in for repair.
Assure product is repaired and re-inspected maintaining the highest quality standards.
Interaction with customers via phone or email to help troubleshoot product or application issues in the field.
Interact with all departments including Quality personnel to provide input for continuous improvements of products, processes and services.
Document repair procedures by creating visual and written repair work instructions.
When necessary, help production, engineering and manufacturing engineering with specific projects including test and verification tasks.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Associate degree in electronic engineering technology or electromechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum three (3) years of experience as electronics technician in manufacturing test environment.
Ability to read and understand schematics, datasheets and written work instructions.
Ability to use test instruments such as Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, etc.
Troubleshooting, identification of electronic and mechanical failure modes experience
Ability to develop professional and courteous relationships with customers and internal staff using strong written and verbal communication skills.
Extremely thorough organizational and planning skills.
Ability to handle numerous tasks at one time.
Office computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Basic ERP experience such as SAP is helpful.
Additional Information
Salary: $28-35/hr (The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.) plus annual bonus.
