Skilled Trades Technician – HVAC/R

HVAC/R Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance:
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems to ensure their optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of heating and cooling systems to identify and resolve potential issues.
• System Monitoring:
  • Monitor HVAC systems to guarantee they operate effectively and in accordance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Implement preventive maintenance measures to avoid system breakdowns.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and components.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate energy-efficient technologies where applicable.
  • Cleanroom systems and protocol
• Emergency Response:
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide solutions to HVAC-related problems.
  • Collaborate with other facility technicians to address critical issues affecting overall facility functionality.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of HVAC maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Generate reports on system performance and recommend improvements as needed.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other facilities and maintenance team members to achieve overall facility management goals.
  • Coordinate with external contractors when necessary for specialized HVAC projects.
  • Work with other team members as needed on tasks outside of HVAC systems.

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician working with various systems including but not limited to:
  • BMS systems
  • Cooling towers and boilers
  • Heat pumps
  • Rooftop units
  • Fan Filtration units
• Relevant HVAC certifications and licenses.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills. 
• Physical ability to perform tasks associated with HVAC maintenance.
• Must have access to their own vehicle and a valid driver's license for some business related activities 

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $60k and $75k per year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
