Are you INFICON's new Mechanical Engineer, R&D for our development department in Mariehamn? We are looking for someone who wants to work with exciting technology and have a challenging job with qualified manufacturing processes. Our production takes place in clean rooms where the products go through many complex and proprietary process steps in vacuum and at high temperatures. We also have a well-equipped laboratory with advanced analytical equipment. Our responsibility extends from raw materials to finished vacuum sensors. We are now looking to strengthen our development department with a new position of Mechanical Engineer, R&D.
Your Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, R&D, you will be part of our development team who are passionate about improving our products and processes. Your responsibilities will range from design to ordering and liaising with suppliers. The work is done in close cooperation with colleagues in Åland and the head office in Liechtenstein.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Your main task will be to design products and production equipment. We would also like you to be able to manage smaller projects of various kinds. This could be, for example, evaluating new designs for quality and/or function with the help of other departments. Depending on your background/interests, there are good development opportunities to learn more and become our expert on a particular process or piece of equipment.
Qualifications
At least a couple of years' experience in 3D CAD design
Ability to manage small projects and report results
Good communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and analytically
Practical problem solver
Fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English
