Process Engineer, R&D, Mariehamn, Finland
INFICON Aaland is seeking a Service Technician to join our Production Support Team. Note the work location is Mariehamn (Åland, Finland) and fluent Swedish is required.
Are you INFICON's new Process Engineer for our development department in Mariehamn? We are looking for you who want to work with exciting technology and to have a challenging work with qualified manufacturing processes. Our products undergo many complex and proprietary process steps in vacuum and high temperatures. Our responsibility extends from raw materials to finished vacuum sensors. Now we want to strengthen our department with a new position as a process engineer with an emphasis on screen printing and oven processes.
Your Role
In the role of Process Engineer, you will be part of our development group that is passionate about improving our products and processes. Your area of responsibility will be process monitoring and optimization as well as development and improvement of product quality. We would like to see that you can also lead and participate in smaller projects of various kinds.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Your main duties consist of introducing new methods, machine parameters and materials into production as well as participating in installations and testing of new equipment and adjustment of existing machines. You will become our expert on screen printing and oven processes. You report to R&D Manager Laura Simola, who helps you with your development.
Qualifications
- University or diploma engineer with specialization in production or mechanical engineering.
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Practical and solution-oriented
- Ability to work closely with both machines and people
- Structured and self-motivated with the ability to drive and coordinate improvement initiatives from start to finish
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to learn new things and develop as a process owner
